EFT Tapping Made Simple

(Emotional Freedom Techniques)

Clear Instructions and Infographic Included

  1. Rate the intensity of the discomfort on a scale of 0-10 (0 = none 10=max)

  2. Choose a Set up statement that states specifically what the problem is (the truth).... Even though (I have this dull aching pain in my right thigh, 7/10,) I accept that I feel this way.

  3. State this while tapping gently on the side of either hand, and repeat 3 times

  4. Start tapping through the 8 points beginning with the thick part of the eyebrow, using a reminder phrase that keeps your focus on the issue. Tap through each point in this manner.

tapping areas

1. Eyebrow (above nose near thick end) – this dull pain

2. Side of eye (in the crease) – this pain in my thigh

3. Under the eye (on the bone of eye socket) – this dull aching pain

4. Under the nose (in the soft tissue) – this thigh pain

5. Chin (in the crease below the lower lip) – dull aching pain

6. Collar bone (with all fingers, towards the centre of the chest, just below the knobbly part of the 2 matching collar bones) – dull aching pain

7. Under the arm (bra line or 10cm, 2inches under the armpit) – aching thigh pain

8. Top of head (in centre) – this dull aching thigh pain.

Re – rate the level of discomfort so you can guage your progress and repeat another round of the sequence

until the level of discomfort is at a 2 or less.

Keep a notebook handy to make a note of any other feelings, memories or changes that bubble up into your

awareness, & tap on those next/at a later time, as necessary.

If you become overwhelmed with emotion, keep tapping as the pressure on acupressure points is the active

ingredient. Sometimes the intensity will get more during the sequence. Keep tapping until it passes.
